Terms of Use

Swapties is a platform for discovering items and negotiating swaps with other members. We provide the app, listings, offers, counters, messaging, blocking, reporting and moderation tools. Members decide whether to make a swap and how to carry it out.

Swapties is not a party to swaps between members. We do not handle payment, postage, delivery, collection, insurance, escrow, item verification or identity verification.

• Use your own account and keep your login details secure.
• Provide profile information that is accurate enough for other members to recognise you in the app.
• Tell us through the Contact page or in-app reporting route if you think your account has been misused.

• Only list items you own or have the right to offer for a swap.
• Describe items honestly, including condition, faults and important limitations.
• Use your own item photos or photos you have permission to use.
• Do not list illegal, dangerous, counterfeit, stolen or otherwise prohibited items.
• Keep listings up to date by editing, pausing or removing items when they are no longer available.

Likes, maybes, offers, counters, acceptances, declines, completion confirmations and chat messages are part of the Swapties negotiation experience. Use them respectfully and do not pressure, mislead or harass other members.

If a swap is accepted, the members involved are responsible for agreeing any practical handover, collection, postage or timing details between themselves. Do not share passwords, security codes or payment credentials in Swapties messages.

• Do not use Swapties for scams, spam, harassment, threats, hate, impersonation or illegal activity.
• Do not try to bypass security, scrape the service, overload systems or access data you are not allowed to see.
• Do not upload content that infringes someone else's rights or contains private information you do not have permission to share.
• Do not use Swapties to sell items outside the swap-first experience we currently provide.

You can block and report members from supported surfaces in the app. Blocking helps prevent new interaction between members while preserving historical swap and chat context.

Swapties may review reports and may restrict misuse in principle, including limiting access to features or accounts. Moderation tools are not a guarantee that every issue will be detected, reviewed or resolved immediately.

Swapties is an early service and may change, pause, break or become unavailable from time to time. We may update features, limits, safety controls and these terms as the product develops.

Swapties, its name, interface, branding and product design belong to Swapties or its licensors. You keep responsibility for the content you add, such as listing text, photos, messages and reports, and give Swapties permission to use that content to operate, display, secure and moderate the service.

Swapties provides the platform as-is for the current MVP. We do not guarantee that listed items are genuine, available, safe, accurately described, or that any member will complete a swap. Use care and judgement when arranging any exchange.
